The White Ram™ (TT-4216) is the new Talkin’ Things RFID paper-based tag that features a 42×16 mm laser-cut antenna, compatible with Impinj M700 & M800 series. Thanks to excellent reading performance of its antenna design, it can easily compete with tags that use hitherto production technology.
The RFID industry has a storied history of aiding businesses in their sustainability endeavors by streamlining operations and facilitating automation in waste management. Now, it’s time to shift the focus to the RFID tag itself, ushering in a new era of planet-friendly technology.
Let’s delve into the key features that set the White Ram™ (TT-4216) apart, from its eco-friendly design and reduced carbon footprint to its certified recyclability and European manufacturing excellence. This tag not only meets industry standards but also raises the bar for RFID sustainability without compromising performance, making it already a first choice for a wide range of applications. Moreover, its endurance has been rigorously tested, ensuring reliability in even the most demanding environments.
Laser-cut antenna on paper substrate
In our pursuit of sustainable products in RFID the TT-4216 features a laser-cut antenna on a paper substrate. This not only enhances its environmental credentials but also provides a high-quality, durable solution that aligns with our commitment to sustainability.
Reduced carbon footprint
At Talkin’ Things, we recognize the importance of minimizing the environmental impact of our products. With the highly energy-efficient antenna production method, no plastic content and minimized overseas transportation the TT-4216 has significantly reduced carbon footprint. We’re dedicated to safeguarding the planet and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
Certified recyclability
The antenna featured in the TT-4216 has been certified “Made for recycling” in tests provided with the score of 18/20 according to the methodology of the bifa Umweltinstitut.
Manufactured in the EU
From the inception of the antenna to the final product, our TT-4216 is proudly manufactured entirely within the European Union. This all-under-one-roof strategy not only ensures a high level of quality control but also significantly shortens product delivery times, allowing for a more efficient supply chain.
Industry standard size
The dimensions of the TT-4216 antenna have been meticulously crafted to meet the demands of the market. Its size of 42×16 mm (45×19 mm label) makes it a sought-after choice for a wide range of applications and makes replacement of current solutions easy.
Excellent reading performance
While we prioritize sustainability, we don’t compromise on performance. The TT-4216 offers an exceptional reading range – 7,8 m (ETSI) / 6,8 m (FCC) free space (M730). This gets boosted even more on various materials. On denim the read range reaches even 12,8 m (ETSI) / 9,7 m (FCC).

Endurance
Mechanical durability of the TT-4216 has been confirmed with a series of examinations, including the chip shear test and the 85°C/85%RH accelerated aging protocol.
Recognition and readiness
With the approval of one of the major players in the apparel market, the TT-4216 is now poised for mass production, marking a significant milestone in the world of smart labels.
